Aloma/Mom/Grandma was able to go home today!
While at Burns Manor she received wonderful care with regular bathing, three meals a day and exercise therapy. But it is also good to be home and in familiar surroundings. ConnectCare will now come to the house once or twice a week. They will help her to bathe and clean up. It sounds like they will also continue to do some exercise therapy with her as well. This will be very good for her mobility. Now that her body is no longer fighting with infections (bladder infections and shingles) and the pain is so much better or nearly gone she is feeling tons better. Just that alone also allows her to be more mobile under her own power.
She's a tough one. With the right care it's amazing what the body can do.

Aloma has been through so many health struggles in the last years. Recently, she was hospitalized at a very serious point. She has since improved by leaps and bounds. She is now staying at Burns Manor in Hutchinson, MN where she is getting wonderful care. This will be a place for us to Keep up with Aloma.
